About Us

Gonzos Legacy It all started in 2009. When a 14 year old was given a can of spray paint, a clean wall and a good opportunity. At first it was just tagging and graffiti. Then my art skills expanded when I took visual arts my freshman and sophomore year of high school. Fashion was always a big part of my life. I remember using a cardboard cutout design that I made, putting it over my shirt and spray painting my design over the cutout. I even drew on my white Vans with sharpies. I didn’t live in the best neighborhood when I was younger and have seen and heard a lot of things but because of that I started drawing things that I’ve seen on the streets. By the time I graduated High School I had notebooks full of designs and I knew I wanted to go to college and be a graphic designer and work with clothes. I eventually gave up on that dream since I was told that it wouldn’t happen for me. That I wouldn’t make it. I threw my notebooks full of my designs/sketches in the trash and didn’t design anything for years. During the COVID pandemic, I came across an old sketchbook in my backpack. Since I had a lot of free time cause everything was closed, I started drawing again. I never showed anyone my designs until one person came across my sketchbook accidentally and was amazed by my work. That person told me that I should put my design on a shirt and that motivated me to get back up and try again and that’s how the new legacy started.
